I'm Coach Cam, your local athletic coach and fitness trainer in Lake Wylie / Clover. I'm also an exercise science researcher at Winthrop University in Rock Hill. My passion for sports and bodybuilding led me to train athletes and weightlifters.
As an athletic coach, I use the latest exercise and nutritional science in order to engineer superior athletes and weightlifters.
I hold an NCCA-accredited certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise, which rigorously prepared me for the many athletes and weightlifters I workout with every week. I focus on taking the most recent exercise and nutrition science as well as time-tested coaching wisdom to guide my athletes' programs and their training / diet recommendations.
Before a workout, I'll usually remind my athlete in the morning to hydrate well and eat proper meals to fuel his or her training. Then when we hit the field, I have the workout all planned out with warm-ups, drills, and accessory training with feedback throughout. After the workout, I'll sit down with my athlete and give constructive feedback: what went great, what could use work, etc. After the workout, I recommend a high-protein meal to my athletes, and I tell them to relax in order to promote the best recovery possible.
Yes! You should either reach out to me by phone or email, or you can sign up for a free consultation call so we can discuss your athletic goals and see if we'll be a good fit together. Once you get a package, I do not offer refunds except in cases of verified physical injury.
And yes. I can't guarantee that everyone who says they will pay actually will, so it's standard for me to accept payment before I provide my professional services. For a package beyond three months, at least 50% should be paid up front, with the rest paid before the end of the package.
I live in Lake Wylie, and I have enough equipment that I can travel to you so we can train in a comfortable home environment if you prefer. Depending on the weather, I also workout with clients outside, especially with athletes who have to be adapted to hotter temperatures such as soccer and football athletes. In general, it is best to train in the environment that you play in.
When it comes to equipment, I do many effective strength, hypertrophy, and cardio workouts with my athletes that are either bodyweight-only or only require minimal equipment. Most of the time I'll bring my athletic equipment if you don't have any. A great program doesn't require advanced equipment, just a great coach.
Yes! Even as a kid I've always been an athlete at heart and I enjoy helping youth athletes reach their fullest potential through hard work, optimal training programs, and constructive feedback.
Eventually, yes. During each consultation, we will collaborate on the duration and specifics of a program. A week after that endpoint we decided on, my services will expire. But don't worry about injuries or delays, we can certainly work something out.
Yes! I live in Lake Wylie / Clover, and I train athletes around your local area, even up in Steele Creek from time to time.
